Seramnya Alat Kedokteran Kuno

Alat-alat kedokteran jaman dulu memang mengerikan dan menyeramkan untuk dilihat, segalanya memang bersentuhan langsung dengan bagian tubuh yang sakit.

Bagi kita di jaman sekarang, tampaknya sulit untuk diterima akal. Namun, teknologi di masa tersebut memang belum semaju saat ini, jadi wajar saja.

Sebagai kilas balik, kita lihat beberapa diantaranya: 


1.Tobacco Enema(1750-1810)

Dipergunakan pertama kali dalam hal medis untuk memasukkan asap melalui anus/dubur, alat ini digunakan terhadap para korban tenggelam. Dengan memasukkan asap tembakau melalui anus/dubur, maka dipercaya bahwa korban tenggelam tersebut dapat kembali bernafas setelah pingsan akibat tenggelam.

2.Artificial Leech(1840)

Dipergunakan untuk pengobatan penyakit mata dan telinga.

3.Double Guillotine(1860)

Dipergunakan untuk mencabut amandel.

 4.Screw Gag(1880-1910)

Dipergunakan untuk membuka paksa mulut si pasien.

5.Saw(1830-60)
 

Gergaji yang dipergunakan untuk menggergaji luka yang dianggap telah lemah untuk dioperasi.

6.Backward Scissors(1550)

gergaji ini dipergunakan untuk melakukan operasi amputasi.

7.Knive For Cutting(1770)

Pisau dan gunting yang biasa digunakan untuk operasi.

8.Manual Trepanation Skull(1800)

 

 Alat yang dipergunakan untuk melubangi tengkorak kepala (operasi bagian dalam kepala).

9.Tools For Operations On Hemorrhoids And The Uterus(1870)

Rantai yang ada pada alat ini dipergunakan untuk memotong saluran gemmoroidalny site.

10.Combating Hernia(1850)

Alat ini akan dimasukkan kedalam area tubuh yang terserang hernia dan akan dibiarkan dalam beberapa minggu dan akan dikeluarkan, dan luka bekas penggunaan alat ini akan menyembuhkan hernia.

11.Tool To Extract the bullet(1500)

Dengan menggunakan alat ini, peluru yang menembus masuk kedalam tubuh akan dikeluarkan.
